Spring is here!

Or is it?

This picture was not taken in December...or January...or even February. This is today--March 21st!!! On my calendar next to today's date it says "First Day of Spring." Is this some kind of joke?

Oh well, it is still beautiful and so much fun!

Update

Ashton is doing much better. After your children are sick you realize even more just how much they mean to you! Thanks to all of you who joined us in praying for him!

More good news--our bathroom is almost finished! The tile is down, just needs to be grouted. Then we'll be able to put in the toilet, sink and shower. Can't wait!

My Baby is Sick

Ashton was released from the hospital last night after two days of rehydration. He has had a virus (or so I'm told that's what it is) since Friday which severely dehydrated the little guy. He is not better but the doctor believes now that he has the ability to eat and drink on his own (although its a very small amount) that he'll be able to fight off the virus at home. We are still dealing with pretty bad diarrhea, he is extremely lethargic and just not himself. Please pray for him...and for the rest of us. It's been a rough week.

Random Useless Facts

For your reading pleasure...

1. An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.

2. During World War II, the very first bomb dropped on Berlin by the Allies killed the only elephant in the Berlin Zoo.

3. In 1901 Annie Taylor was the first woman to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel. She was 64 years old at the time.

4. Every square inch of the human body has an average of 32 million bacteria on it. (Ewww!)

5. Almonds and pistachios are the only nuts mentioned in the Bible. (You’ll only get that kind of inside info from a Bible college grad!)

Progress!

Sheet rocking is messy........very, very messy! Here I am, attempting to clean. It didn't work. However, there has been some extremely productive work going on today. My husband (with the help of a couple of other guys) installed the exhaust fan. He also has been sheetrocking and we now have almost all the walls up and the beginning of a shower! How exciting!
